Class 14: search, labels, filters and the product profile

Class 14 of the Wasoolo course: search your whole shelf, filter it to one question, read a product's own page, and print your own price labels.

What Class 14 covers, in order

  1. 1Search the whole shelfName, barcode or your own code, and it reaches inside every folder.
  2. 2Filter it to one questionLow stock, one supplier, one folder, or what has not sold in 90 days.
  3. 3Open the product's own pageRate, stock, worth, history, and the buying rates only staff can see.
  4. 4Print your price labelsYour paper, your sticker size, bar lines or QR, printed or shared as PDF.
  5. 5Read the alertsOut of stock, pending goods, no buying rate, no barcode, no photo.
  6. 6Take the buying listEvery low item, bucketed by supplier, with what it will roughly cost.
Six tools, one Stock tab, and a shelf you can actually ask questions of.

Your shelf passes a hundred items and a plain list stops being useful. Class 14 is the rest of the Stock tab: the search that finds anything, the filters that cut the list to one question, the page every product has of its own, price labels you print yourself, and the alerts that say what to buy.

Search finds it before you finish the word

Open the Stock tab and look under the heading. Five doors sit in a row: Search, Scan, Stock in, Alerts and Variations, and a blue dot on Alerts means something needs a look. If your shelf came in through the bulk importer in Class 13, all of this is already waiting.

Tap Search and a box opens. Type three letters and the list narrows as you type. It matches the name, the saved barcode and your own item code.

Search is flat: it reaches inside every folder, so an item filed under one of the folders from Class 11 shows up without you opening it. The scan button sits inside the box too, so a packet in your hand beats a half-remembered name.

The card above the list, What you are seeing, counts what is on screen right now: in stock, low stock, out of stock, and what it is worth.

Filters turn the shelf into one question

The funnel at the top right opens the filter page, and a small number on it says how many filters are already on.

Every question is a tile you can see without hunting. Stock takes Any, In stock, Low stock or Out of stock. Folders narrows to one folder and everything inside it. Goods separates what arrived from what is still pending on a bill. Bought from shows one supplier's goods only. Insights is the one to remember: no sale in 7, 30 or 90 days, or your most selling items, which is how the stock that never sells becomes visible. Selling rate finds products nobody put a rate on.

Under those sits Sort: name, price, stock, or newest first. Taps apply as you make them, and Done closes the page.

Stock status is the first tile (1), and Insights finds what has not sold in 30 or 90 days (2).

One product, one page

Tap any row and that item gets a page of its own.

The top box is the item at a glance: photo, name, the selling rate in big blue, the stock pill in your own pack words, the Stock value lying there, its folder, and a Low stock badge once it falls under its alert.

Under it are four doors: Stock in, Stock out, Label and Stock history. Then Rates: the selling rate is there for everybody, while the last buying rate, the average buying rate and the profit sit behind a staff lock. Details carries the unit, the barcode and the line Tell me when it drops to, which puts this item on your buying list. The holds the rest: showcase, edit, copy, delete.

Price labels you print yourself

Label opens the price-label maker, and the sticker is drawn at the top before anything prints. Three doors reach it: this button for one item, a long press on the board to tick several, and a folder's menu for all of it.

What to print lists what you picked, with a count per row and Set all to 1, 5, 10, 25 or 50 for a whole run. Which paper takes an A4 sheet or a label roll, and Sticker size takes the sheet you actually bought, such as 65 labels of 38.1 by 21.2 mm. Leave the first ones is for a sheet a few stickers came off, so printing starts where the paper does.

Which code prints bar lines or a QR, off the saved barcode or your own item code, and What to show switches the shop name, the product name, the rate and the numbers under the code. If the code will not scan at that size, the page says so in orange before you waste a sheet. Then Print or Share PDF. Nothing comes off your PDF count: a price tag is not a document.

Alerts: the page that says what is wrong

Alerts collects everything on your shelf that needs a hand, one card each with a count.

What to buy opens your buying list. Out of stock stands on its own, because an item whose alert level was never set is invisible to the low-stock card however empty it is. Pending products are lines marked Pending on a bill and never received. No buying rate matters more than it looks: profit cannot be counted on an item whose cost was never written, so those rows quietly spoil your profit page. No barcode and No photo slow the counter and empty your showcase. Clear them and the dot on the Alerts door goes out.

What to buy opens your buying list (1), and no barcode counts what cannot be scanned (2).

What to buy, and the list you carry to the bazaar

The buying list saves a wasted trip. Every item that has fallen to its alert level is already on it with a suggested count, and anything else goes on by hand or scan. Rows sit in buckets by supplier, plus a bucket called From the bazaar for goods on nobody's account. The head of the page adds it up: how many items to buy, and roughly what they cost at your last buying rate.

Tick what you want and three things are possible. Share the list as a PDF or on WhatsApp, so the supplier loads the van before you reach him. Carry the ticked rows straight into a stock-in bill from Class 12. Or mark a row as arrived and it leaves the list.

The what-to-buy list in Wasoolo with a total cost and one item under a bazaar bucket
What it will all cost at your last buying rate (1), and the rows sitting under their bucket (2).

What the buying list works out for you

Chai patti: 20 packets left, alert set at 30Buy 10
10 packets at your last buying rate of Rs 1,320Rs 13,200
Cooking oil: nothing left on the shelfBuy 6
6 tins at your last buying rate of Rs 2,600Rs 15,600
Take this much to the bazaarRs 28,800

The counts come from the alert level you set on each item, and the cost is your own last buying rate, not a guess. Change a count on the list and the total follows it.

Say two items have fallen to their alert level on the same morning.

One product, many sizes

The last door in that row is Variations: the answer to one shirt in five sizes sitting on your shelf as five separate products.

Make the type once, in colour, size, model or a name of your own, with its values under it. It is saved for every product after that, so the next shirt takes a tap instead of typing. Each variation carries its own count, and any one can carry its own rate. A variation you stop selling is hidden rather than deleted: hidden ones stay out of the pickers, and saved products keep everything they had.

Common questions

Does search look inside folders?

Yes. Search is flat, so it reaches into every folder from the top of the Stock tab. Folders keep order; they never hide anything. Class 11 covers how to build them.

Can I print price labels without a barcode?

Yes. The label prints your own item code as bar lines or a QR, and warns you when the code is too small for the sticker size. Numbers under the code only print from a saved barcode.

My salesman opens a product page. Can he see what I paid?

No. Those three lines sit behind a staff-only key. Without it they are not on his screen, and the rest of the page works normally.

How does an item get onto the buying list by itself?

From the line Tell me when it drops to on its own page. Set it once and the item joins the list the moment the count falls that far. Anything else can be added by hand.

Why is a product showing under No buying rate?

Because its cost was never written, so there is nothing to count profit against. Open the card, add the rate, and the profit page starts counting it.

Do variations mean a separate product for every size?

No. One product carries all of them, each with its own count and, if you want, its own rate. Your shelf list stays short and your stock value stays right.
