Delete your Wasoolo account & data
This page explains how to permanently delete your Wasoolo account, or just your data, and what happens when you do. No login is needed to read this page.
What deletion removes
Deleting your Wasoolo account permanently removes:
- Your account and login
- Your businesses and their settings
- All khatas (ledgers) and their entries
- Customers and guarantors you entered
- Photos and documents you uploaded
- Chat messages
- Backups stored on our servers
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Your data is removed from our systems within 30 days of your request. If you might need your records later, export or download a backup from the app before you delete.
How to delete in the app (recommended)
- Open the Wasoolo app and sign in.
- Go to the More tab.
- Scroll down to the Danger zone section.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm with the email OTP code we send to your account email.
Once confirmed, your account is closed on all devices and deletion begins.
If you can't access the app
If you no longer have the app or can't sign in, email help@wasoolo.com from the email address on your account with the subject line "Delete my account". We use the sending address to verify it's really you, then process the deletion the same way.
Delete data without deleting the account
If you want to keep your account but remove your records, you can:
- In the app, go to More → Danger zone → Delete all data to wipe your businesses, khatas, entries and photos while keeping your login; or
- Email help@wasoolo.com to request partial deletion of specific data.
Subscriptions
Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription. Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, not by us — cancel first in your App Store (Settings → your name → Subscriptions) or Google Play (Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions) account, then delete your Wasoolo account.
What we keep
After deletion, we keep no personal data about you. We may keep anonymized, aggregated statistics (which cannot identify you) and any records we are legally required to keep for compliance, if any. Everything else is gone.
